WoW Gold Basic Questions: Round 1
World of Warcraft Gold Guide Questions
Goblins are always busy making gadgets or profit |
Have a burning question that you might be too shy to ask others for help with out of fear of being considered a noob? Or maybe you have a serious question that needs a little personal focus on and hope someone will take a moment to answer? Then the World of Warcraft Gold Guide round of series is for you. Ask away and I'll do my best to answer. Others have already reached out with their questions let's get on to them!
This might be a noobish question. I have the Sands of Time on my main character. I think I want to switch to a different profession like Inscription. My question is: Will I lose the Sands of Time schematic?
Hi there, you'll definitely lose the schematic. My advice is to level an alt character with the profession that you want to try out. It'll be faster to level up a new character plus it's not worth losing the recipe then having to re-farm it.
Okay, I have a question. I craft Vials and Sky Golems for profit on my server. The thing is that the Sky Golems are starting to become very low in profit. Extremely low! Do I keep selling them at mat cost?
Absolutely not. Whether you're on a low population or high population server or even on a PVP-RP realm you'll never want to sell lower than the base cost to craft the vial or golem. Hold onto your stock until the prices go back up. You can take a gamble to buy out the competition but that's a huge risk because you don't know how much stock your competitors have. Be patient and wait. Once the low waters have risen then put your hard work back up for a better profit.
I have around 30K in Gilded SeaWave. My server prices crashed down to 1.5 gold each. Should I dump my stash or hold on?
Do you have a tailor and are able to get Dredged Leather cheap? If so, craft Saddlechute with it. You can also craft the Seabreeze Saddle Blanket. If you have a Leatherworker you can covert those into the Comfortable Rider's Barding. That's a more popular piece of mount equipment to craft at the moment due to not being much water in the Shadowlands.
Hey, I just made mount gear for about 400 gold profit a piece. Do you think Tide Spray is going to go up or down in value after the patch?
So, at this point we can only speculate that prices will go up for a very short while then quickly plummet. This is because of the influx burst of new players who quit early and have characters below ilvl 400. Keep an eye out though. A few players might be curious enough to try out the new leveling system which means we might discover a small spike in the number of new max leveled toons. Finally, take into account that Tide Spray should at least break close to the price for the bracer vendor shuffle.
I'm a returning player. Haven't really played since Legion and trying to figure out how to make gold. Things have changed so much and I'm feeling overwhelmed. What should I focus on to make gold?
While you're out leveling pick up herbaling and mining. The nodes will help with XP and you can sell as you go through the old lands. Raw gold farms in Shadowlands will still be a thing though it's not advised for most people that like to maximize their return on time invested. Take the time to learn TSM and use the Undermine Journal to see what sells on your realm and how much profit there is to make.
Things to look for is: Dreamleaf, Azshara's Veil, Cinderbloom, Khorium Ore, Saronite Ore, Arcane Crystals etc. Garrisons these days don't add anything but they're still good for passive income such as mounts and bags. Until you max out all your characters put dual-gathering professions on all your toons as you level then switch out to what you need once you're fully established. Good luck!
Can you handle a mountain of gold? |
Hey, so I just came back after a few months of quitting only to find a bunch of TSL bracers in my bank. What's the best way to offload them or should I just vendor the bracers at this point?
If you have any gear crafting professions you can easily scrap the TSL bracers for Expulsom and instead craft the Uncanny Gear to sell instead. This minimizes your loss at this point in the game.
I just came back to the game. Before I made an investment in buying a boat's load of Savage Leather. They're now selling for way higher so I made my initial investment back. Problem is that I still got a boatload of Savage Leather in my bank and I'm dreading the conversion of the leather to Savage Leather as it takes forever. So my question is: Will these prices reduce or increase during the pre-patch and the release of Shadowlands?
Right now, Savage Leather is easily obtained from a plethora of Cataclysm dungeons. It's possible that with the nerfs to speed sets that there might be an increase but I don't fathom a sudden abrupt change to an Old World material that's been around for a couple of expansions. Mind you, there's always the normal fluctuations due to supply and demand. If at some point there is zero Savage Leather listen then jack up the price. Otherwise keep on doing as you are now but make sure that you start out slow as dumping your entire stock will drive the price down fast. Patience is the key here but it will pay out.
