When WoW memes become canon
World of Warcraft developers are having fun. Players running through the Shadowlands beta have discovered that the opening quests in the Night Fae zone have a lot of tongue-in-cheek humor. There's also the mentions of a few meme words and a troll character wondering what the heck a meme even is...
Woonz is the Meme is now Canon too

First, just in case you're wondering... "Woonz" comes from the time when Magni tells you to heal Azeroth's wounds every five minutes during the Battle for Azeroth event.

Before long, players started replicating those words because of the dialect used by the voice actor.
It became a meme to willingly make fun not only of the fact that the quest has been repeated so often, but also because of the supposed awful pronunciation. There's even a parody video that depicts just how much it grated on players nerves. What World of Warcraft memes would you like to see become canon?
Zappyboi Meme
There's a certain jungle troll shaman named Zekhan that's been a fan favorite since he first arrived in 2018. Players lovingly named him, 'Zappyboi' due to having Saurfang's back both mentally and magically during the Siege of Lordaeron.
He later became self-aware inside the game and tells a player:
"The other trolls say I become something called a me-me. Can anybody tell me what dat means?"
Not only does he become self-aware but Zekhan's nickname appears in the new Shadows Rising novel. Apparently Bwonsamdi calls Zekhan "zappy boy". The intial plot of this book is the Horde Council sending Zekhan on a mission to uncover a threat against Queen Talanji. Not really a complex plot there.
