Have you ever been curious as to what truly lies in wait for you in World of Warcraft? During this Hallow’s End I'll show you a few of the most bizarre and even the creepiest nooks and crannies in all of Azeroth. Hang onto your hats folks, it's going to be a wild, fun ride!

Mushroom Ring: A Haunting Melody

First stop is in Tirisfal Glades where the Forsaken tread. West of Deathknell in the Whispering Forest, a ring of ghostly white mushrooms sits awaiting ––something. Patience is the key as you eventually witness a group of fae dragons slowly appearing. As they group the fae dragons will begin performing a haunting, ritual song. Once the song is over don't forget to pick up the Faerie Dragon music roll and add it to your Garrison Jukebox.

Throne Room of Lordaeron: The Blood of a King

Second stop is in the famous Throne Room in the Ruins of Lordaeron above the Undercity.  Look about the room when you first enter the throne room proper. Notice the trail of blood staining the floor from the terrible time of when Arthas slew his own Father, King Terenas Menethil . Have you ever stopped to listen? Stop for a while and hear the echoes of  the tormented.

“This kingdom shall fall, and from the ashes shall arise a new order, that will shake the very foundations of the world!”

Stormwind Barber Shop: A Closer Shave

There is a Barber shop in Stormwind City's Trade District that holds a terrible secret. As you go up the stairs that leads to the second floor a straight razor sits upon a table. Now look beneath the floorboards... Surprised, aren't you? Who would ever have thought that the gnome barber, Jelinek Sharpshear was a murderer of epic proportions.

 The Demon Children of Goldshire

Our fourth stop takes us into Elywnn Forest. There is a house with a group of children that wander out and about at 7 AM Server time. No one seems to take notice that the children head out of Stormwind City and straight into the deep forest. Follow these kids and they will take you to a home by Mirror Lake(Have you seen the Jason movie reference there?) . Soon, the children will stop and form a pentagram formation. If you have map coordinates look at your position as you stand directly in the center of the group. It's 6...6...

Not only that, but random sounds of madness are heard the longer you stay in the room.

“You… will… die”

Mysterious Ritual on the Mount

Our next stop is in the Blasted Lands. High above the Shattered landing there are 4 skeletal remains in a sitting position.. Each skeletal hand holds a vial in its grasp. Before them a shackled pillar fills the space.  A basin filled with a golden glow beneath the pillar  swirls eerily. One can only guess that the ritual went awry and caused the doom of its participants. What was summoned? Only time will tell...

Tell Tale Heart of Karazhan’s Crypt

Deadwind Pass is no stranger to the unknown. There are plenty of horrors both inside and outside. Hidden in a shroud of broken trees is Morgan's Plot. Venture within there is a hidden secret. Once you enter the crypt you'll begin to hear the faint beating of a heart; thump, Thump, THUMP. Will you face this terror or run away...screaming?

The Room of Upside-Down Sinners

The Room of Upside-Down Sinners
The Room of Upside-Down Sinners
The last stop, we have come to the 7th wonder. Karazhan holds many secrets. The biggest(in my opinion) is the secret Room of Upside-Down Sinners. First one must brave the Well of the Forgotten, a sparse room with an unnatural hole at the bottom. Then one must walk to this hole and willingly fall into the Labyrinth though the Pit of Criminals where mounds of bones, rotten flesh, and sinew are piled upon on another. Follow the maze-like path that eventually leads deeper into the crypt. The stairway will lead to a flooded area where corpses of the damned are strung up like puppets. The corpses are bloated, twisted, and weighted down with thick, heavy chains.
The Karazhan crypt
Karazhan crypt
The Karazhan crypt is rumored to be the upside-down version of Karazhan. A homage to Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (Bradygames Strategy Guide) game with Dracula who was found only in the inverted mirror image of the castle. Much alike Dracula, one was supposedly able to find Medivh in the Upside-Down crypt as referenced in a Jeff Grubbs novel titled, The Last Guardian (Warcraft, Book 3) (No.3),

The main reason as to why it was not opened for World of Warcraft players was because it was deemed far too scary and would require the game to be given a rating of M(For mature). As for the way into this particular place? I can only say that attempts will gain you a 72 hour ban as the method requires exploitation of the game. Which, the GMs tend to heavily frown upon.

Honorable Mention: Thaddius of Naxxramus

Thaddius of Naxxramus
Thaddius of Naxxramus
An honorable mention goes out to Thaddius, the flesh giant construct found in Naxxramas. When you first enter Naxxramas you begin to hear the echoing screams of women and children.

Pleeease!
Stop, make it stop...
Help me! Save me! (Stop screaming!)
Please, nooo!

These screams will stop once Thaddius has been killed. The reason being is that he is the screams that you heard as you fought your way into the heart of Naxxramas.

"Thaddius, built from the flesh of women and children, it is said that their souls are fused together - eternally bound within that foul prison of flesh."
