World of Warcraft Quick Tips: Stellar Pictures

Welcome to All My Alts quick tips. A new section that will hopefully help to ease or enhance your World of Warcraft game. Let's get started:
JPEG quality needs to be decent for great pics
Back in the old days of #WoW the screenshots a player took were in the TGA format. Nowadays the game uses a JPEG format but at a very low quality ratio. Although this was done to save space on your hard-drive the result is less quality screenshots(and now, S.E.L.F.I.E.S).

Going back to TGA
To revert back to TGA(which is a lossless quality, and very large file size) input the following ito your console. The console is where you type!

Copy and paste the following:
/console screenshotFormat tga

Press Enter.

The change will take place on the next screenshot  that you take. Keep in mind that S.E.L.F.I.E.S pictures will not upload to Twitter. This is because Twitter only allows certain file types of which TGA is not accepted.

Going back to High quality JPEG

Type or copy/paste the following into your console:
/console screenshotFormat jpg
/console screenshotQuality 10

Press Enter.

The number "10" represents the JPEG quality. In this case, it's the highest. The lowest is quality "1" and the quality that the game uses currently is "3".

Back to Default JPEG quality
So if you want to revert to the default quality then type or copy/paste the following:
/console screenshotFormat jpg
/console screenshotQuality 3

Press Enter.

And that's it! Keep in mind that TGA pictures do not upload to Twitter. The command needs to be entered only once. Unless you change your game WTF folder or un-install the game  then you will have to reapply the codes. Until then the changes need only be applied once.

Happy playing,
