Trove of the Thunder King's Keys Removed in Patch 6.0

Treasure Trove scenario is leaving.
Recently a developer has confirmed that the Trove of the Thunder King scenario will be removed come Patch 6.0.  After this patch hits a player will no longer be able to collect the Key to the Palace of Lei Shen from the Isle of Thunder.

The Key to the Palace will no longer drop.
This decision has caused a stir amongst the World of Warcraft community as many do not understand the reason as to why this scenario is being removed. The Trove of the Thunder King is often remarked as being one of the more interesting and enjoyable scenarios available in the Mists of Pandaria expansion.

The deliverance of bad news
Blizzard's reasoning behind this removal is that once Warlords has arrived, a level 100 player will find the traps and obstacles within the scenario trivial and easy to overcome. Hence, a player will be able to plow through the scenario several times over to amass a huge amount of gold.

The solution to this problem has been addressed by removing the keys from the Thunder of Isle's enemies loot tables. If a player still has keys then it is possible for that player to go through the scenario after Patch 6.0 drops. However, that key will not drop ever again. Once a player has used up all their keys, the ability to go into the treasure trove room is gone forever.

Good-bye treasure trove. It was really fun!
The act to make the keys and the scenario inaccessible is truly puzzling. The portion of the community(and potential new players that would want to) that enjoys running the Trove of the Thunder King on a weekly basis does so not for the monetary value but to have fun or to find different ways to surpass personal set goals in the scenario.

Count me amongst the many that are not understanding the need to remove this content. In my personal opinion I feel that it would have been much easier(and friendlier on the community) to simply drop the gold value to copper and keep the scenario intact. There is no reason why this couldn't have been done as running old content is a hobby for a lot of players.

What do you think?
