Mists of Pandaria: Treasure Hunters Part One
Through out Pandaria there are hidden treasures filled with rares, epics, patterns, and even crafting materials. There is even a 'Lost and Found' exploration achievement for items that are literally lying around the land. I haven't found the especially rare items that grant a bind on account item but these are fun to find nevertheless. Not only do they grant gold but also experience points based on your current level. What better way to level then by simply exploring? Let's go!
Jade Forest
========
Go out to sea towards the Horde ship looking for the coordinates (51, 100). We are looking for an Alliance half-sunken ship that is leaning on a small island. Dive down and look for an opening on the side. Once you can get inside to the bottom there is a chest containing about 100 gold.
Lucky Pandaren Coin |
Next head to southeast of Honeydew Village at (31, 27.7) and loot the
Lucky Pandaren coin, worth 95 gold to a vendor.
Ancient Pandaren Teapot |
Then head West to (26, 32). On top of the waterfall look about and find the treasure. Loot the
Ancient Pandaren Teapot.
Pandaren Ritual Stone |
Now if you look up and slightly to the left you will see a pool with an island. In the dead center of that island is our next treasure at (23, 35) for a
Pandaren Ritual Stone with a 105 gold vendor value.
Valley of the Four Winds
===============
Head toward the Valley of the Four Winds via the bridge a little south of where we are standing. Turn left off the bridge into the valley and follow the river. At the road to Karasang Wild head down the road and get to (77, 57), there should be a cave. Enter the cave and follow the cave to the right and around the bend.
Saurok Stone Tablet |
However, once you go around the bend, just keep going straight to where it looks like a carriage fell apart. Treasure found! Loot the
Saurok Stone Tablet for another a gray item that vendors for 100 gold.
Forgotten Lockbox |
Now you are going to go to the tavern in the mists valley via (70, 22). Go up the veiled stairs to the inn. Inside the inn is a chest called the
Forgotten Lockbox which contains our gold.
The Hammer of Folly |
Head south out of the tavern and go towards the Black Market place. Go inside and out the other side you will see a little clearing with stone stairs. This is called, "Mason's Folly". Head toward the coordinates at (68, 79) and then go up the stairs. At the top is our loot called,
The Hammer of Folly which has a 100g vendor value.
Kun-Lai Summit
==========
Terracotta Head |
Onward to Kun -lai summit by following the path North and running through the tunnel. Head to the Magujia Ruins. Run straight to the back around these locations (59.18, 73.0) or (59.11, 74.3). Typically, it is a small head named, Terracotta Head which sells for(you guessed it!) 100 gold.
Lost Adventurer's Belongings |
Now we are going to go the area near Serpent Spine. The coordinates whereabouts is (39, 85) which should put you near the Serpent Spine. Once at those coordinates follow the path to the top of Kota Peak at (39, 79). This is also the same area where the Ski'Thik rare spawns. Look for a broken barrel/tent(it's a reddish thing). There is a tiny chest named,
Lost Adventurer's Belongings which contains our 100 gold.
Hozen Treasure cache |
Then on to Knucklethump Hole at (50, 62) and go to the very back. In the back of the cave look for two cages. Behind it should be the
Hozen Treasure Cache and has again within it, 100 gold.
Stolen Sprite treasure |
Now out the cave and onwards to the One Keg area. Head upwards, and up the hill to the HowlingWind Cavern. Inside the cave, at around the coordinates (67, 77) travel to the back of the cave. We are given choices as to where to go. When you reach the spot to go '
up or down' we want to choose to go '
up'. Then we head to the left to find the
Stolen Sprite treasure that contains about 100 gold.
Ancient Mogu Tablet |
Leave the cave and basically go to the left. We are going down the ramp to the base of Kun-Lai Summit, inside the Path of Conquerors. In the room with two stone statues it is behind the eastern statue.There should be a stone tablet called, the '
Ancient Mogu Tablet' which vendors for 95 gold.
Rikktik's Rest |
Head back out to Kun-Lai Summit near Mount Neverest, in Emperor Rikktik's Rest, which is a cave that holds the Tomb of the Hozen leader Emperor Rikktik. In the cave there's a stone tomb on which a statue of the Emperor sits. Go inside, and next to the monkey statue is, 'Rikktik's Tiny chest' which contains the
Rikktik's Tick Remover worth 105 gold.
Statue of Xuen |
The next treasure called the
Statue of Xuen comes with a bit of a warning. The lake where this is located is actually a good deal southeast of Zouchin Village in a
very hostile area known as the Zandalari Vanguard. None of these NPCs are neutral and some are elite too. If you go to the far south of the Zandalari Vanguard you should find the lake/pool where this is located. It sits right at the bottom in the middle of the pool. The statue vendors for 100 gold.
Bonus
====
Even more Stolen Sprite goods |
Head to Kun-Lai Summit and to the cave area. Inside, towards the back of the cave at around (72, 73) should be some more
Stolen Sprite goods. This chest can contain random crafting materials as well as two to four Motes of Harmony. No worries, it also contains our 100 gold!
Good luck, thanks for reading, and happy treasure hunting!
