Dress to Impress: The Engineer
On a bright, sunny(and very boring) day I was challenged to come up with a dress-up set for a plate wearer. Now this particular plate wearer was also a Dwarf paladin that liked to play the role of a tinkerer.
He didn't want anything fancy just a nitty-gritty down to earth look that said, "I like to get my hands dirty with knickknacks and explosives." How positively quaint!
I present to you:
=========
The Engineer
=========
Flying Tiger Goggles - CLOTH
Rustic Workman's Shirt/Gilnean Adventurer's Shirt
Mechbuilder's Overalls - CLOTH
Winterfin Cord - LEATHER
Gilnean Novice's Boots - LEATHER
Gilnean Novice's Gloves - LEATHER
The goggles are the only item that does require a player's character to be semi-versed in the profession of engineering. It's a very low skill item to craft.
The shirt shown (Battleworn Shirt) cannot be found ingame but a good substitute is the Rustic Workman's shirt which is crafted or the Gilnean Adventurer's shirt an item Worgen Hunters, Rogues, & Warriors start out with on their backs.
The overalls are best found on the AH unless you want to spend a great deal of time farming Gnomer. All mobs have a chance to drop the overalls but it is a rare item. An alternative can be found in the tailor crafted - blue overalls.
The belt is a BOE belt with various enchants. These are a very common drop so look in the AH for a low cost one to fit your needs.
The last two items, boots and gloves, are found upon making a fresh Worgen druid. There is a mailbox a few steps behind where the character spawns. It makes for an easy create and delete method to acquire the items.
For the more detail-oriented there are some nice visual additions to add to this dress up set.
~Bonus Items~
Arclight Spanner

Thermotastic Egg timer - Off-Hand Item

All in all I think I came up with a set that impressed my Dwarven friend. Hopefully this set can inspire others with versions of their own or something better modified to fit their character's style.
Special thanks to my model and challenger: Bigwidget of Wyrmrest Accord (RP) on Alliance.
Next up on: Dress to Impress -- The Miner
