Blizzcon 2010
Short and sweet because I'm moving between crowds to fight for good seating!
So far:
Opening Ceremony, Mike Morhaime came out and welcomed the Blizzcon attendees.He talks about the history of the game and where he hope it will lead in the future. Further on in the speech he gives an exact number of actual Lich King kills: 489,000! Doesn't see a lot does it? Chris Metzen also came out afterwards and played a little game called 'Geek Is' where slideshows of events like Transformers, Star Wars, Thor, and an ode to Everquest and LoTR are given.
Cataclysm will be available for digital download on December 7, 2010. For the first time in the game's history, the game will be available for purchase online at the same time as it launches in retail stores.
Companion pet lovers rejoice! Moonkin pets will be available soon during November at the Blizzard store.Own your very own thunder chicken. Also, $1.1 million sales proceeds of the Pandaren Monk pet went to the Make-A-Wish foundation.
The Dungeon and Raids panel spoke about many new features that will be available come Cataclysm. The most exciting was revelations of detailed maps, a 3D portrait of the boss that includes a paragraph of the boss lore and loot! These features will also be available in raids.
