Acquire the Cenarion War Hippogryph

Welcome to the walkthrough to acquiring your very own Cenarion War Hippogryph. The journey is long but not especially hard. Are you ready? Let's ge a move on!

Part 1 - Prerequisites 

You will need to meet three requirements to properly follow this guide:
1. Wrath of the Lich King Expansion
2. A level 80 character, preferably a plate wearer or something that can prevent too much damage from being taken
3. Time and perseverance

Wrath of the Lich King is required to have an 80 character. Time and perseverance may seem "frightening" at this point, but it only took me around 4 days of 1-3 hour farming to get exalted.

Part 2 - The Guide

This section of the guide will be the most expansive, simply because it is the guide. There will be a lot of information here, but don't let it overwhelm you. Just keep reminding yourself that once it's done, it's done

You will be farming reputation for the factions known as The Cenarion Expedition. I would recommend opening your reputation menu in World of Warcraft, finding their status bar, then checking track as an experience bar. It will help you a lot, instead of having to continually re-open and close the menu. I would also recommend having a calculator, or having the calculator application open, so you are able to track how many more runs and reputation you need to hit exalted.

Reputation needed per level:
Neutral: 3,000 reputation to get to friendly
Friendly: 6,000 reputation to get to Honored
Honored: 12,000 reputation to get to Revered
Revered: By far the hardest part due to farming, but you can easily get to honored by doing quests. It takes a whopping 21,000 reputation to get to Exalted.

Step 1:
Start out by doing every quest in this list. This is one of the reasons it's nice to have an 80, it speeds up the pace by days. Also, if you don't yet have epic flying, but have the money to afford it, I'd purchase it now.

Alternatively, if you feel like doing some of the major grinding first - go run Regular Steamvaults. More on this later, but is essentially boils down to getting Honored without doing any of the reputation quests, then getting almost 60% to exalted without any more grinding.

This will be organized by zone, for your convenience. Note that any "indented" quests are chained with the previous ones. The level required/recommended is to the left, in case you feel like starting these on a pre-80 character.

Hellfire Peninsula

Once you've finished all the above (just in Borean Tundra), you can do:

Part Three: The Final Steps

Once you've completed all these quests, in whatever order you've decided to do them, you should be at the very beginning of revered with the CE. Head back to Zangarmarsh. To be specific, go to the Coilfang Reservoir in the center of it, and enter the Steamvault.

There are a few quests for the Steamvaults in general, several of which can be done in less than 20 minutes if you have an 80.

Of those, Coilfang Armaments is going to be the most important. For each FULL clear of regular Steamvaults you do, you'll net about 1,662 reputation with The Cenarion Expedition. You'll also get anywhere from 10-25 armaments (was average for me), which...say you get 17...is a free 1275 reputation. Just keep on running through and turning in the armaments until you hit exalted

Here is a mini-guide in case you need help for whatever reason:
Start by clearing all the mobs in the main room. Head towards the back, opposite to where you came in, and kill Hydromancer Thespia. Right click the machine behind her, and you should receive a message about hearing a sound. Head about halfway back, and go into the tunnel. Clear the mobs here, and turn right across the bridge and into the tunnel. Keep going until you see Mekgineer Steamrigger. Kill him, click the machine, then go back into the "main" throne room. There should now be some mobs spawned, and a door opened. Kill the trash leading to Warlord Kalithresh, then kill him. All these fights are fairly easy, but make sure to - when the warlord channels from one of the vats behind him - kill it, or he will enrage and own your face. Exit, reset the instance, and repeat.

End Note: As an added note, make sure to complete your dailies for that extra rep!
