Elite Warcraft Guild Ensidia is Banned for 3 Days

World of Warcraft

This supposedly elite guild is banned for exploiting the 25-man version of the Lich King fight. They used Saronite bombs to bypass mechanics of the fight. Apparently during the Lich King fight the party fights him upon a platform. The edges of the platform crumble and break away during the fight. At the same time the Val'kyr come along and randomly select party members to pick up and drag to the crumbling edges. If the Valk'kyr aren't killed in time then the party members are dropped to their death. Meawhile the Lich King randomly casts a spell upon a member that causes a black pool to appear at their feet. This spell causes shadow damage and whomever touches it also grows in size with increased damage. Now this means the party memebrs have to run out of the pool as well as continue dpsing the Val'kyr that are carrying off their members. Apparently the exploit was using Saronite bombs to reconstruct the crumbling edges thus rebuilding the platform they were fighting upon.

Ensidia of course blames this exploit on one person(can you feel the love there for that person?) a rogue that used the bombs to increase their dps.

At any rate the fact of the matter is that Ensidia knew it was a bug and that such a thing shouldn't happen. And yet they continued on with the fight knowing that it would bug out and make the encounter with the Lich King easier. Which in my view is enough justificaction for their temporary ban. And in a class act by Muqq(Ensidia player who posted about the ban) decided to write this in a typical nerd rage fashion:

"Do me a favor so I don't waste my guild's time on this kind of jackass fuck-fest again, send me an email at mupp@gavle.to when you decide to A) Implement an encounter that wasn't designed by a retarded chimp chained to a cubicle B) Get a Quality Assuarance Department C) Actually beta test the !**#ing thing and D) Patch it live. And please for god's sake -- do it in the order I laid out for you. Don't worry, I won't charge you a consulting fee on that one. And for good luck you might as well E) Pull your heads out of your asses. While you're at it rename the game to World of Betacraft.

Rethink your fucking bullshit. Fix all the buggy motherfucking ICC encounters (I suggest you let whoever made the Blood Queen one do this since that dude apparently laid off the crack the rest of you were smoking). Fix fucking arenas, or better yet, remove that shit. Fix heroic modes (just guessing it's fucked up considering your track record). Don't have the resources to fix this stuff? Move the ENTIRE Cataclysm team over to fixing Icecrown Citadel AND DO IT NOW. If you don't fix this shit, you jackassess together with the 2 month-subscribers will be the only ones playing Cataclysm.

You got 1 week."

For those of you who claim that Ensidia couldn't have known that it was the siege damage that was glitching the floor constructs, I direct you to this blog post by Mek.

http://www.ensidia.com/mek/blog/567/

In it, he describes a raid on the 3.2 PTR, which included the most recent use of terrain constructs in a raiding environment. In this case, it was the floor, post Twin Valks, when the Lich King comes out an smashes it.

They figured out that a saronite grenade would tweak out the floor before the cut scene ran it's course. And to test it, they repeated the process 7 times to be sure it was the grenade.

Aren't they pleasant? According to several posters on MMOchamption and WoW Insider the guild Ensidia is known for world-firsts always being won via exploits. This is the first time they have recieved punishment for it by Blizzard.
