The cinematic opens up with a voiceover and you quickly realize it is King Varian Wrynn. He is penning a letter to his son, Anduinn Wyrnn.

Sylvanas being an Undead High Elf was something the cinema team wanted to be reflected properly in the cinematic.

Both Alliance and Horde are being attacked by the Legion

The airship Varian  is in is suddenly attacked. Varian continues writing his letter. It almost sounds as if he knows he will die. The gold compass shown through-out the cinematic is the same one passed down from Llane Wrynn to Varian Wrynn.

Varian and Sylvanas have each others back. Legion is the new enemy

 While you are watching see if you can spot the small goblin tugboat in one of the shots. The World of Warcraft Legion release date is set at the latest by September 2016.
