Guide: Critter Love...or was it Hate?

While waiting for dungeon queues I found myself a bit bored and looking for something easy to do meanwhile. The immediate thought of doing achievements came to mind. Specifically the critter one! Apparently not only do we have to love critters but we also have to smack around a few. Talk about having a love/hate relationship.

I love you..but I want to kill you too!
I can't help but wonder if the creators of the achievement sat in their chairs and cackled maniacally at the thought of players both loving and killing critters. Hmm, I think they most likely did have a laugh or two at our expense. So here's a few macros to help you out if you're doing this crazy achievement series. There is a total of  four to do!

Helpful Note:
Some of the critters can be captured via pet battles so if you know someone who has them all get that friend to summon the pet out. Then target it and /love it. This works for all the /love achievements as long as the pets can be captured.

Locations of the Pandaria Critters:

Amethyst Spiderling - Mostly between Dojani and Krasarang River (Krasarang Wilds).

Bandicoon - All over Valley of the Four Wind.

Clouded Hedgehog - Blue terrains of Dread Wastes.

Coral Adder - Around Den of Sorrows, east region of the Bamboo Wilds (Jade Forest).

Dancing Water Skimmer - South of the Temple in ToK battleground (thx Sarasin) and around watery areas of Vale of Eternal Blossoms. The Skimmers at Whitepetal Lake are phased out (by the dailies). Ask an un-phased friend (can be lower level also) to pull them out of the phased area (pull through the Pagoda) using Critter Bites on them.

Emperor Crab - Found some in the fishing net at Soggy's Gamble, also in the southern waters (Dread Wastes).

Gilded Moth - Eastern part of Vale of Eternal Blossoms.

Golden Civet - East of Shrine of Two Moons (Horde city - Vale of Eternal Blossoms).

Leopard Tree Frog - All over Jade Forest.

Luyu Moth - All over Krasarang Wilds.

Malayan Quillrat - All over Valley of the Four Winds.

Marsh Fiddler - All over Valley of the Four Winds.

Mongoose - All over the Townlong Steppes.

Mountain Skunk - No MoP version added. You can try the old world skunk.

Shrine Fly - At the small shrine following the road from Valley of the Four Winds, north of
Thunderwood (Jade Forest).

Sifang Otter - Around lakes and rivers in Valley of the Four Winds, also along the channel that divides Jade Forest and the 86 zones.

Wasted Roach aka Resilient Roach - Infested areas of Dread Wastes.

Yakrat - All over the Townlong Steppes.

There you have it. Thanks for reading!

  2. Hi hi! I'm glad it's useful. I also don't like outright doing it but in-between queues or while I'm grinding archaelogy(sob sob) I like to press the macros. I think soon all critters will be in fear of my character! \(^.^)/
