Bad Times in Looking For Group

world of warcraft forge of souls

I'm literally in a world of nerd rage. Yesterday was a just a horrid day for pugging in World of Warcraft. As if there's a good day right? Beware there is quite strong language at the last part.

Whelps the first random PuG that my tank and I(as the Healer) were brought into was Heroic ToC. The first half is sitting on a horse and poking things and the second half is just bonking things on the head with your pointy weapon. Our first clue that we were with less than stellar players was when one of the DPS decided to start up the event before everyone zoned in and got onto their horses. Second bad clue was that all of the DPS was focusing on everything but the raid icons that the tank had set up for kill order. Third bad clue was when the first boss had arrived with his three groups of lackies. The shaman decided it would be fun to pull all three groups(yes, that nine NPCs of which three had MCing abilities on our asses) before we had finished buffing. That was our last signal to take a clue and get the hell out of dodge. We dropped group immediately.

Second bad group was in a normal FoS. There is a one-handed mace that is a slight upgrade for the tank that drops from the first boss. We mention that is why we are here. Bad clues are everywhere with this DPS. First, they are in greens. Second, a paladin was in the protribution spec(yes the PVP spec) and was welding a one-hander with shield. Third, and really, for cripes sake they were just utterely bad. Well despite their 500 to 700 DPS on trash the tank and healer are willing to continue carrying the sad DPS in greens through the instance for a chance for that mace to drop. Guess what? It drops from the boss. Tank rolls need on it  And of course you realize what happens next?

Yep, one of the DPS rolls need on it.

Ninja DPS says: "Hey the tank rolled need. Mind if I roll need on it?"

Other DPS: Go for it.

Other DPS: IDC

Healer: For fucks sake it's a tanking weapon that the tank needs. I MIND!!!

Tank: If you roll need for it then you're tanking.

Ninja DPS: lol (and he rolls need and wins FFS!)

The DPS make their way to the mobs on the other side and pull. Healer is silent. The tank of course makes good on his promise. He drops group. Healer then types as the DPS is dying by the mobs because they receive no heals from her.  "The tank needed that weapon. It's the only reason why we were here carrying your lame asses so I hope you get a huge repair bill you mother fucking losers!"  And she drops group noting with smug satisfaction that all of the DPS had already bit the digital bucket.

Honestly I wish I could reach through the screen and smack them on the heads for being so stupid.

  1. UGH! How utterly horrible! I have been super lucky to not find any of the bad groups you had just described. Next time I would just drop group immediately if you find yourselves with other players as you just described. Don't worry the asshole players like that get what they deserve in the end.

  2. Dei, you seriously need to give me your good luck! For the moment I've given up on random pugging in the hopes to find a guild(no such luck yet!). I'd rather do randoms with people I trust than a bunch of baddies o.O
